Western DataCom offers a wide array of products and product integrations that are divided into two primary categories: PC/104 Cards and Mobility solutions. The PC/104 products are individual circuit cards that can be used in stand alone application or custom integrations and Mobility solutions are fully integrated product solutions.

IP SECURITY

IP security is the single largest market for security. The Internet is also the largest unsecured inter networking environment known today. For this very reason the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) developed the IPSEC standard for IP security, the protocol used to send and receive data over the Internet securely. Western DataCom specifically developed the IPE-10M for IP security in mobile networking environments.

Our Internet security product line currently consists of the IPE-10M, and the soon to be released IPE-10Mx.

Cellular Broadband Data Communications

Western DataCom has also recognized the need to utilize this emerging, cost effective, cellular data technologies that provide wide area connectivity in mobile networking. For this reason, we have developed a line of cellular modems to provide 1xRTT, 1xEV-DO, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS and HSDPA communications

In addition to cellular data functionality these products provide location tracking via GPS. Our cellular modem products include the MobileCom 2.5G and MobileCom XE.

Mobile Router Integration

Western DataCom is a Cisco Systems Advanced Technology Partner for the 3200 Series Mobile Access Router and we specializes in integrating the MAR into numerous system solutions. These Mobile Router integrations can incorporate our various Cellular Data Modems, Data Encryption, Video, MIL SPEC and NEMA rated products.

REMOTE ACCESS SECURITY

Remote access security is a key aspect of our business. Our products allow remote users the confidence and freedom to not only connect to corporate networks, but they provide the ability to transfer sensitive information without the worries of eavesdropping or data theft.

Our remote access product line includes the CryptoCom 2000, now available with Triple DES.

OUT-OF-BAND MANAGEMENT

One forgotten aspect of security is out-of-band management, i.e. the ability to connect to remote devices for management purposes. Typically companies rely on general purpose dial-up modems and password security to connect and communicate with their remote equipment. This approach is vulnerable to hackers using "WAR" dialers can easily locate and connect to these types of modems. In addition, password cracking software is readily available on the Internet at no cost, and this can be a disastrous combination.
